Hydra Power & Energy Limited ("Hydra," "we," "us," or "our") collects personal information only where you choose to give it to us. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell personal information.

1.1 Contact form submissions

When you submit the form on our Contact page, we collect your full name, email address, and message, plus organization and phone number if you provide them. If you attach a file (for example, a CV or site details), that file is included.

1.2 Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe to Hydra Insights, we collect the email address you provide and the IP address the request came from, which helps us prevent abuse of the subscription form.

1.3 Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our server logs basic technical information for every request (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance purposes. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.

2. How We Use It

• To respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact page — energy assessments, mini-grid and community submissions, C&I/PPA discussions, investor inquiries, EPC partner registrations, project development, agriculture and public infrastructure inquiries, and career applications.
• To send the Hydra Insights newsletter to subscribers who opted in, and to let you unsubscribe at any time.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of this website.
• To comply with legal obligations, such as responding to a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information on the basis of your consent (submitting the contact form or subscribing to the newsletter is an affirmative act), and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries and operating a functioning website securely.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. Contact form messages are delivered via a third-party SMTP email provider so our team can receive and reply to them. Newsletter subscriber emails are stored in our database to send the newsletter, and delivery may be handled by a third-party email service.
• Legal requirements. If required to do so by law, regulation, or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hydra, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If Hydra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.

5. Cookies & Analytics

This site does not currently set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms (such as a session mechanism for form security) required for the site to function. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this section and provide a way to manage your preferences.

6. Data Retention

Contact form messages are sent directly to our team by email and are not stored in a database on this website. They are retained only in our team's email records, for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and document the inquiry.

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained in our database for as long as you remain subscribed, and are deleted or anonymized upon unsubscribe or a verified deletion request.

File attachments submitted through the contact form are transmitted as email attachments and are not separately stored on our web server.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information submitted through this site, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), authenticated SMTP for outbound email, and CSRF (cross-site request forgery) protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, and depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, including unsubscribing from our newsletter at any time.
